New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani just laid out a housing plan that should alarm every American who still believes in private property, limited government, and basic common sense.

In a recent clip, Mamdani talked about using the city’s legal power to remove negligent landlords and transfer buildings to “responsible stewards” like community land trusts, nonprofits, or even tenants themselves.

Sounds compassionate, right? Not so fast.

In this episode, I break down why this is not merely about affordable housing. This is about power. This is about using government bureaucracy, activist pressure, legal threats, and nonprofit networks to reshape property ownership in New York City.

Bad landlords should be held accountable. But when the government starts deciding who deserves to keep property and who should have it transferred away, we are no longer talking about justice. We are talking about socialism with city paperwork.

This is a warning for every blue city in America.

Because the same government that promises to save you from your landlord today may become your landlord tomorrow.
