Al Sharpton told the congregation gathered to mourn Nolan Wells that the funeral was not a rally. The problem? Somebody apparently forgot to tell Al Sharpton.

During his remarks, Sharpton praised the pastor for having the “courage” to open the doors of a predominantly white church to Nolan’s family—even suggesting that “some” people in the city might question the decision.

Who are these people, Al?

Did church members object? Did city officials interfere? Were protestors standing outside? Or did Sharpton introduce an imaginary racial controversy into a sanctuary where Christian hospitality had already been demonstrated?
