Raphael Warnock stood in the pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church and gave his congregation a very convenient version of what happened with Virginia’s redistricting referendum. Convenient for Democrats, that is. IIn this episode, I break down the clip, expose the political manipulation happening from the pulpit, and explain what Warnock left out when he claimed the Virginia Supreme Court knocked down a map “approved by the people.”
Because here’s the part he skipped: Democrats had a legal process available to them. They simply did not follow it.
Virginia’s constitution has a specific process for constitutional amendments and redistricting changes. Democrats tried to rush the process, fast-track the maps, and then act shocked when the court said, “No ma’am. No sir. Read your constitution and try again.”
This is bigger than one court ruling.
This is about the Iron Triangle: the Black preacher, the Black politician, and the civil rights activist working together to keep Black voters politically captive while pretending it is spiritual leadership.
