A major new question has emerged in the Nolan Wells case: Why was Nolan’s cell phone reportedly never surrendered to law enforcement?
Al Sharpton previously claimed that Nolan’s photos, messages, and other information had been erased. But independent journalist Sarah Fields now reports that authorities were never given the phone for forensic examination. If that reporting is accurate, how was the deletion claim established—and why wasn’t such potentially important evidence turned over?
We also examine a reported eyewitness timeline that could substantially undermine the public insinuations made against the young men who accompanied Nolan to Horn Island. According to their legal representative, they left the island around 4:30 p.m., while two people who knew Nolan reportedly saw him alive at approximately 5:50 p.m.
