Two young conservatives set up a small table at Tennessee State University with signs (“DEI should be illegal,” “Deport all illegals now”) and MAGA hats. It began civil—actual back-and-forth—until a crowd formed, signs were snatched, and campus police escorted them out. I walk through what really happened, why self-control matters (Prov. 25:28, ESV), why parents must train their kids to model courage and civility, and why in hostile environments the messenger is often the decisive “weapon.” I also explain why I think HBCUs need debate—and how a Black conservative panel (👋🏽 me, @redpilledbrowngirl Crystal Jenkins, Craig Long, Vince Everett Ellison, John Amanchukwu) would have forced a very different conversation.
