There was a time when I was absolutely Team Candace Owens. I supported BLEXIT. I attended the rallies. I went to the White House. I believed Candace was an enormously talented communicator who was helping challenge political groupthink.
And I don't apologize for that. But eventually, I started noticing red flags. During my recent appearance on John Amanchukwu's *Disturbing the Peace*, John asked me directly what changed.
So I told him. We discuss Candace Owens, Charlie and Erika Kirk, the difference between asking legitimate questions and leading an audience toward a predetermined conclusion, the danger of personality-driven politics, and why Christians cannot surrender discernment simply because someone is charismatic, entertaining or politically useful.
You absolutely have the right to ask questions. But questions should still be rooted in truth, evidence and logic.
And Christians should be particularly careful about allowing personalities, platforms and parasocial loyalty to override biblical discernment.
I once supported Candace Owens. This is why I changed my mind.
