A viral post claimed that if women left churches, there would “literally be no church.” And that tells us everything we need to know. Because if your church collapses when rebellious women stop funding it, serving in it, and emotionally propping it up, then maybe what you had was not the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe it was a social club. Maybe it was a celebrity-centered ministry. Maybe it was a goat attractional model built on emotional manipulation, feminist rebellion, pulpit pimpery, and weak male leadership.
In this episode, I respond to the viral conversation surrounding women in church leadership, the Southern Baptist Convention’s recent stand against women pastors, and the broader issue of feminism inside the church — especially within the black church context.
