A viral video accused two white women at a Chicago-area apartment pool of targeting a Black father and his children because of their race. There was just one problem:
The rest of the story hadn't come out yet. In this episode of Unshakable with April Chapman, I'm breaking down the viral “swimming while Black” accusation involving Leo Sullivan, the Airbnb where his family was staying, the pool-access rules he says were unfairly enforced against him, and the response released by the property management company.
According to materials presented in this episode, Airbnb guests were instructed to obtain temporary pool access, adult guests were required to provide identification, and Sullivan had previously acknowledged receiving and agreeing to the rules.
So how did a dispute over a pool pass become another national racism story?
And why are journalists and commentators so eager to amplify allegations of racial discrimination before asking the most basic question:
What actually happened?

Sometimes the first viral video isn't the whole story.
We're talking chronic victimhood, racial grievance culture, media irresponsibility, children being taught to interpret ordinary conflict through the lens of racism, and what happens when the receipts finally show up.
