Florida political candidate Angie Nixon says she has taken her children to drag shows and describes them as fun, harmless—even “wholesome entertainment.” And apparently I’m supposed to hear that and just keep eating my crab dip.

Absolutely not.

In this episode, I react to Nixon’s comments and explain why this debate goes far beyond costumes, performances, or “letting people live.” We are talking about what adults normalize for children, what parents are willing to expose them to, and the cultural worldview voters empower when they support politicians who openly embrace these ideas.

And this is where many voters want to play both sides: “Well, I vote Democrat, but I don't support all of that.” Okay—but elections have consequences. You do not get to vote for the train and then pretend the caboose has nothing to do with you.

As a Christian, a mother, and a Black woman, I believe we have completely lost the plot when adults can put children and drag shows in the same sentence and insist anyone objecting is the problem.
